Greater Tampa Bay Area Orff ChapterPosted on by Randy
Happy Holidays to all of our super hero music teachers and music therapists out there flying from classroom, to rehearsal, to program prep, to performance stage at super human speed, making beautiful music and memories with your students. We know how hard you are working these days and we’re so grateful for all that you do for the students in your care and for your communities. In December we are reminded how important music is in the life of the community. YOU make that happen. Thank you! You are a gift to your school and community.
Free Lesson Plan
We all know how difficult it is to find perfect, sing-able, appropriate for everyone in your school community, sing along songs or program closers. Our friend Bev Wilms-Best wrote this beautiful little song for her young students in Vancouver, BC. She has generously offered to share it with you. Thanks Bev for your generous heart and your beautiful Light the Candles.
In our last email we gave you the first installment of “What Makes a Wildcat Wild.” There are currently two installments on the web. Check back over the next two weeks as we add one installment each week. By the end of the month you’ll have video of Roger demonstrating the entire lesson as it unfolds over time.
To Make You Smile
While you’re busy preparing your winter program, take a moment to take some nice slow breaths and enjoy someone else’s choir making beautiful music.
