A Picture Book of Possibilities
This week, rather than giving you a lesson plan, I’m sending you to a picture book that is full of possibilities for springtime fun. When I was in the classroom, I would use this picture book every May with the classes that I team taught with Jenny Burnett, a wonderful dance teacher. Jenny and I are in the beginning stages of creating materials for early childhood music and movement classes that will be packaged under the Playful Pathways product line. We thought you might like to play with Up, Down, and Around during these last few weeks of school.

|In honor of Earth Day Roger Sams, our Director of Publications, wrote a simple round today, One Big Beautiful Earth, that you can use as a one-class lesson with your middle to upper elementary students.
